C3 FORSTER TUNCURRY exists to connect people with God through faith in Jesus Christ

The church is full of people who have discovered an incredible richness of life that comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Contrary to a view held by many people, God is not dreary, depressed or weak. Rather He is vibrant, joyful and powerful. His presence should always give rise to a sense of excitement and a fullness of spirit.

This understanding of God is reflected in the enthusiastic and upbeat nature of our church services. Jesus said that He came to earth that we might have a life of abundance (John 10:10). Every time we come together to worship God we are celebrating what Jesus has done for us.

C3 Church has congregations around the world that are bright, enthusiastic and relevant. Our message is one of faith, hope and love. We have a united vision to build the church by connecting people to God, connecting people to people and also empowering people for effective, joyful service so each person can live their Best Life!

What we believe...

1. We believe there is only one true God

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is not simply a monotheistic theology but rather a trinitarian theology – God is one, yet revealed in 3 persons. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God; we believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His constant intercession and in His imminent return. We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit with His fruits and gifts available in the Church;

2. We believe the Bible is the living word of God

Although written by the hands of men, we uphold the truth that these words were divinely inspired by the Spirit of God. The Bible therefore is infallible, authoritative and everlasting and is the foundation of all Christian doctrine and our measuring stick for all theology.

3. We believe in the existence of evil

There is a real, evil, spiritual being – the devil, and we therefore believe that there is a spiritual battle for the souls of mankind. We believe that Jesus has the victory through his death and resurrection and we as his followers are able to stand, by faith, in his victory.

4. We believe in sin

All people are born into a spiritually lost condition and so we therefore believe in the essential need for all people to experience ‘new birth’ by faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that it is God’s desire that no person should perish but that all would come to him through faith in Jesus to be saved and born again.

5. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit

This is a gift available to believers subsequent to the new birth. We believe Christians ought to live spirit filled lives and be led of the spirit because we are born of the spirit. The Holy Spirit is given as our Helper, our Comforter and our Friend, He is given as the seal of sonship and as a deposit guaranteeing our place in heaven.

6. We believe in the church

The church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus himself is the head. Every believer is a member and should be an active part of a local church, fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe in the practice of the sacraments for the body of believers – sacraments of the Lord’s Supper (communion) and baptism by full immersion in water for all believers. We believe in and encourage all members to practice the grace of giving, praying, fasting and worship.

7. We believe in the resurrection

Every person will eventually die and all will be raised to stand before God – both the saved and the lost. One will receive everlasting life in heaven in the presence of God and the other to everlasting separation from God and all that is his.
